Chocolate Macaroons: Homemade Holidays

One of my very favorite treats, especially around the Holidays. Chocolatey, decadent bites that are dehydrated for 12 hours, vs baked, for easier digestion. Raw, vegan and gluten-free…and they’re amazingly good! Package these little guys up, your family and friends will eat you up too! You do need a dehydrator to execute this recipe. Purchase one on my online store here! You will find many uses for it and amazing, interesting raw recipes that can be made. Happy Holidays!

Chocolate Macaroons

{Yield: about 36}

3 cups unsweetened coconut shreds

1 1/2 cups unsweetened cocoa powder

1 cup pure maple syrup

1/4 cup coconut butter, softened to spreadable consistency

1 Tbsp pure vanilla extract

1/2 tsp sea salt

Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl until well combined. Scoop onto dehydrator sheets using a small cookie dough scooper. Dehydrate at 115 degrees for about 10- 12 hours.

    1. Coconut oil is just the oil that is extracted from the meat. coconut butter is the whole meat pureed into a creamy butter. I recommend using coconut oil in this recipe to get the right texture.
